Bruner will not heat past 140 degrees, just bought a new tank

I just got done having the same problem. Disconnect the tank. Let the hose hang there for 5 or more minutes to drain any gas. Reattach the hose to the tank. Turn the knob on top of the tank SLOWLY 1/4 of a turn. Light the first burner on the left. Turn the knob on top of the tank another 1/4 turn. Light the rest of the burners from left to right. Don't open the tank valve any more than 1/2 turn altogether. When you changed tanks and hooked up the hose, the regulator in the hose cut back on the flow when the new blast of gas came through. (Its a safety feature.) So draining out the gas from the hose to reset the regulator and turning on the gas SLOWLY should give you good pressure.

We have a Weber Genesis Grill Silver and now we thought we needed gas and got a new tank. Okay now it will not heat up past 250 degrees. We found out about the trick with turning on the gas and whatever...but not this is a new problem. Any ideas why this stupid thing is not heating up?

Well, if turning OFF the tank valve, disconnecting the hose and wait 5 minutes before reconnecting it. And then, opening the tank valve VERY, VERY, SLOWLY (Slow motion slow) before lighting the burner farthest from the tank first and turning it to high didn't work. You need to replace the grill's hose/regulator assembly. You can purchase one at any home center or hardware store that sells gas grills and accessories. They run around $30.00. Be sure to take your old one with you for comparison purposes.Hope this helped you and Happy Grilling!!

Tec grill problem

I have a TEC Pattio II. I have owned the grill for almost 10 years and TEC grills have a ten year warranty on many of the parts including the burners. The burners on my grill have a ceramic inserts. Usually the main problem is a pop and loud whooshing noises indicate the ceramic insert or the seal on the burner is "cracked". I have replaced both of the inserts and burners on my grill once about 5 years ago under warranty. I have one burner now that will not stay burning and I contacted TEC today regarding the problem, and I will replace the ceramic insert only under warranty. . YOUR BEST OPTION IS TO CONTACT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE GROUP AT TEC. THE TELEPHONE NUMBER IS 1-800-331-0097. TEC IS LOCATED IN COLUMBIA SC. TEC HAS A USEFUL WEBSITE at www.tecinfrared.com.Please note that parts are not longer available for the Patio I and the Sterling I. Support for these models was discontinued September 2007. I was told today parts for my Patio II will be available into the 2020's. The TEC grills are so unique, I would be concerned with putting non TEC parts on the grill. Your low heating could be caused by this decision.

Genesis Silver B Grill: grill won't heat past 350 or so. put a new regulat...

An odd thing with many propane gas grills is how the regulator functions. If the tank is opened too fast the regulator over-adjusts and delivers no gas. Try this: Turn tank off and open all burner controls. This should clear the line of any gas. Close burner controls and open tank very slow. Now lite and temp should go up.

I have a 3 or 4 year old Genesis Three Burner Weber Grill. The grill when turned on would only get up to about 250 to 300 degrees. I bought a new regulator and hose and it seems no gas was going to the flame tubes . . . no smell of gas. I bought another regulator and hose and no gas again. Then I turned the gas tank valve on slowly and the gas came out. I got the temperature up to 550 degrees. Great! The next time I turned the gas on and tried to start the grill, again, no gas flowing. I turned the tank valve on slowly several times but to no avail. What is the problem? Thanks, Alan

The gas in the bottle is not a just pure gas but it is contain also very small quantities of oils and dirt. So with long time use they are creating a thin layer over regulator and valve parts, like springs and injector rods which make them to stuck. This what is happening with th tank gas valve which you may turn the regulator but the inside parts are stuck. Sometimes if you hit a litle bit it can work again but this is not a solution. The solution is to replace the tank gas valve with new one. Also you should know that since you have this problem with tank valve then most posible to have also some problem with burners gas valves in the future. One way to avoid this and also with the new tank valve is when you realise that the gas tank is almost empty the is better to replace the tank since the last gas in geting out the most of the above mention oil and dirt and end on the valves.

I have a new Olde Native BBQ grill. I just ran from my house to the grill eliminating the propane tank. For some reason I cannot get this grill to heat beyond 300 degrees. The line is not leaking. FYI, I have another grill that is also attached to the propane line and it works fine. The new line is teed off from the first line each with its own on off valve. Any thoughts why the new grill wont heat?: Thanks

The regulator needs adjusted to supply the needed gas. If it can't be adjusted then replace it.

Inconsistent heat problems Weber Grill

If your propane gas delivery system is equipped with a pressure regulator, check it or replace it. If no regulator, check the following: * The gas jets for any obstructions, including carbon build up (they can be cleaned with an automotive fuel injector or carburetor cleaner with a lttle help from a brush bristle - do not try and use a drill or other mechanical means) * The gas connections, and make sure they are all tight * The gas manifold(s) to be sure they aren't partially obstructed with insect nests, especially cocoons * The burner(s) to be sure they are clean and that the flame is even

Electric water smoker low heat

I have used the charbroil bullet electric H2O smokers for years (wore 2 out - currently on my 3rd). I won't use anything else (having used many, many others - HOWEVER - as with every product made there are things to watch or overcome. Learn to use it properly and look forward to many years of great BBQ. Ambient (outside) air temp below 70 (depending on wind also) will affect these smokers drastically - highly recomend getting or making a "smoker blanket" (got mine at cabelas years back - if you can't find one welding blankets from an industrial supply store can be made into one) to insulate the sides - this drastically reduces heat loss and reduces the electrical load. Another MAJOR mistake many people make is extension cords - avoid the use of them at all if possible - if not possible then purchase the heaviest gauge you can find. Always pre-heat your smoker - Always use boiling water (or other liquid) in the H2O pan added after smoker is pre-heated - Always minimize opening the smoker once cooking has begun. The heater element can be cleaned when cold with a very mild detergent and room temp water. If you have the large 2 rack but are only smoking enough to use a small amount of rack space on only one rack remember that you are heating a whole lot of air - i have a couple (different size) wood boxes wrapped in foil to take up excess air space - this means less air volume to be heated and better heat control - DO NOT use cardboard boxes or other low temp combustable items in the box construction! Make sure the house outlet you are plugging into is a 3-prong GROUNDED outlet. Finally, make sure your smoker is level and remember there can be up to a 20 degree cooking temp swing in temp between the bottom rack and top rack (top rack 5-20 degrees hotter than bottom). The heater element will cycle on and off during normal use. Good smoking and enjoy.

Low flame I have a Frigidaire 4 burner LP gas grill that does not get hot past the low end of the "Grill" meter when all 4 burners are on. When all burner are turned to high you barely see any flame. When I turn on any 1 of the 4 burners you at least see a flame better than before but still not good. The unit is sealed other than looking at the burners. I have tried the following: 1 Looked for a kink in the hose 2 Check the gas tank (put a new one in also) 3 Cleaned the gas lines
