Guide :Grilling : 455 inch 2 - 3 Burner with rotisserie Grill

Propane Problems My grill uses propane bottles. It is new and worked fine through the first bottle. After I replaced the initial bottle, gas was slow coming out and would not get hot. Then I had no flame. Second bottle was definitely not empty. Bought another bottle (third) thinking I need a spare anyway. This bottle worked the first time. Now, it too is not getting enough gas. My suspicion is that I may have slightly damaged (stripped) ventilator gasket. What do you suggest?

The salesman at ACE Hardware told me I needed a grill tip cleaner. Seems the outflow valve from the tank can get crusted and there is a device called a gril tip cleaner that can help restore the gas flow to a higher level.

No propane flow to grill using bulk bottle system.

I have a new Coleman Roadtrip LXE. They will not work with a regulator on the suply tank. They work fine off a bottle or a bulk tank, again without a regulator. The regulator on the stove is not adjustable and when it is supplied with 11" wc (low pressure) it futher reduces the pressure so low the flame goes out. I attached mine to my toyhauler quick connect fitting, the gas pressure at the outside valve is regulated at the tank. This won't work, it only works if I hook the bulk tank or 16 oz bottle to the stove.

My grill won't light, and I don't hear gas running

I had the same problem with my grill once last year and again this year. I installed the tank on my son's grill and it worked perfectly. Try replacing the regulator, it worked for me.

Unable to get gas our of 'Blue Rhino" propane

The problem is an easy fix. Replace the current Hose/Regulator Assembly with a new one. They run about $30.00, at home centers and hardware stores that sell grills and accessories.Once you install the new one and connect it to the gas tank, open the gas tank valve Very Very Slowly (Slow Motion, Slow) until it's fully open. If you don't do it this, the new regulator will lockup. Hope this helps you & thanks for choosing FixYa.

No gas getting to bbq

I switched to the new style 20# tank with the new turn-on knob.  I couldn't get enough gas pressure to the BBQ burners for all three burners to light or to keep a strong flame on even one burner.  The new style tanks have a safety valve on the inside of the tank that shuts the gas off if you turn the knob on too fast because the safety valve thinks there is leak.  Shut everything off and then try turning the knob on real slow, especially at first, before turning it all the way on.  If that doesn't work (it didn't for me), then replace the large plastic connection valve knob (female end) that attaches the regulator to the tank.  Mine was for the old style tank and was black (low pressure).  I went to a propane company and had them replace it with a green knob (higher pressure).  Took it home and WALA!  Everything works fine now.  But it was very frustrating trying to figure why I couldn't get any gas to the burners after buying a brand new tank.  I hope this helps solve your problems.

We have a brand new George Forman Grill2Go propane grill for outdoor use. We followed the directions for assemblying the regulator to the propane bottle, did the test for leaks, etc, But when we turned on the gas, used the igniter, nothing ignited. We turned it off for 5 min.& tried again...nothing. First time for portable gas grill use, but this shouldn't be hard. Any suggestions?

You got part of the solution correct. The 5 minute part, but you skipped a couple of steps.Turn the gas tank valve OFF. Disconnect the hose from the tank. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank. Open the tank valve VERY, VERY, Slowly (Slow motion, slow). Once the valve is fully open, turn the burner ON and push the ignitor button. When the burner lights, turn it to it's highest setting. If you have 2-burners, light the second the same way you did the first one. Do all the flame heights look correct? If so, you solved the problem. If the above didn't solve the problem. you will need to replace the grill's hose/regulator assembly. As the OPD Valve in the gas tank, permanently locked up the regulator. Since your is a brand new grill with warranty that's enforce, contact the manufacturer for a replacement. Have you proof of Purchase handy, when you call them.Hope this helped you solve the problem. Happy Grilling!!
