Our Uniflame Grill has a round outer burner and a round inner burner. The outer burner has a large orange/yellow fllame. The inner burner has a small blue flame. Is it normal for the inner burner to have a small blue flame? My wife thinks the inner burner flame should be larger and that something must be blocking the gas flow.

Bob, your wife is partially correct. However, both burners should have blue flames with orange tips. Cleaning the burners and the their venturi valves, should solve the problem. When I say cleaning them, I mean removing and cleaning them.Hope this helped you and Happy Grilling!!

My grill does not exceed 300 degrees. The rear burner is barely lit, it sputters with a blue flame. The Front and middle burners run well, blue flame no yellow. I changed the regulator with one from home depot but the same problem exists. Does the regulator need to be sized for the grill? I did not buy a weber regulator. Also the third burner does not get any larger when you shut off the front and middle which tends to point to the valve for the third burner having a blockage. Any tips? Thanks in advance.

Bypass valve need reset. All grills made after 1996 have this valve. Close the LP tank valve Turn all burner control knobs to the OFF position Open the grill lid Turn the LP tank valve until it is completely open Wait 90 seconds Turn the front burner to the HI/Start position Press the igniter until the burner is lit. Turn remaining burners to High Close the lid. The grill should preheat to 500-550 degrees in 10-15 minutesI called Weber and a rep walk me through it.

Flame problem I have only used my new Thermos grill a few times. I recently had friends over for a BBQ and everything worked fine. SInce then when I use the grill the burn on the right has a nice blue flame but the one on the left and the centre one have orange flames that will come up the front and out past the knobs. Is this easy to fix?

Check the holes the flames come out of, they may be clogged, you may need to clean with a wire brush, if rusty then replace the burners. easy to replace
