Jenn air propane grill conversion

It is inconceivable to me that large manufacturers like Jenn-Air and Nexgrill can jointly make and sell an expensive grill and then completely abandon the consumer. I purchased an Jenn-Air 740-0142 LPG and like so many wanted to convert to nautural gas which requires a larger gas orifice. I spent a month on the internet and phone calling Jenn-Air and finally Nexgrill who actually manufactured the unit in China. The Jenn-Air and Nexgrill serial numbers are the same. the 740 prefix is LPG and the 750 prefix is natural gas. After three calls to Nexgrill I found a manager who actually acknowledged making Jenn-Air but declined selling me parts for it as I believe they have product liability concerns. I call back as a Nexgrill owner and finally ordered natural gas orifices at $10.00 each. The shipment never showed up. Calling back again I was told that they really didnt really have any orifices in stock but could sell me the entire replacement gas valve for $28.00 which I purchased. The valves actually arrived on the shipping receipt was from The Grill Services in City of Industry 909-718-6128 . Part number 750-0141/142/593/594. Forget about pirates in Somalia... we have them right here. Shame on you Jenn-Air and Nextgrill.

My 4 burner Jenn Air grill wil only partially light on one burner only. 3 of the 4 burners will not light at all. I have just hooked up a new propane tank -- so i am not out of propane. However, the grill has sat unused for 2 years in a covered area. Is my regulator malfunctioning...can it be repaired?

The problem with your unit is less likely to be the regulator. The regulator is what stops the flow of gas through the unit and does not get faulty quite easily. But usually if it does it can always be fixed. Since you unit has been kept for the past 2 years what your unit is suffering from is simply a need for cleaning through the pipes which the gas flows through to supply the burners. Bringing out the unit and doing a proper cleaning of the entire unit. This should get the unit functioning fine again.Hope this solution has been helpful?Thank you for visiting FixYa.

Jenn air 32 in. 4 burner gas grill

Sounds like a problem with the regulator. Try turning on the burners 1st before opening up the propane valve. If that doesn't work unscrew the gas line from the propane tank with the tank valve open a little (burners off) then screw it back on.

I have a Jenn-Air grill with three burners. When I light the first two burners, they light fine, when I light the third burner, the flames on all three burners get real weak and the grill will not go above 200 degrees. I have cleaned the burners and checked the connection to the propane tank and have even switched propane tanks. Any advise?

Screwy new tank has safety feature: so...remove the tank and clear the the lines.then reinstall the tank and crack open the vave just a hair. Retry. Seen it.

I purchased a Jenn-Air 720-0720 (LP) BBQ grill and want to convert it to Natural Gas. After hours on the internet/phone calls, I determined the Natural Gas Conversion Kit number is either 710-0003 or #1270643. Contrary to the accompanying installation manual, Nexgrill Industries' suggests ordering it from Unfortunately, they do not show a NG conversion kit for my grill. Any thing you can do to direct me to someone that accutally carrys this part would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim

I found Part Number. #1205950 listed at says it fits jenn-air 720-0720
