Suggested Questions And Answer :

Flame uneven how to arrange the bricketts should the metal shroud over burner be covered?

Most Charbroils use an inverted V over the burners. The hot juices and fats drip onto them to make a charcoal type taste. Unless the unit came with bricketts, they're not needed. My unit doesn't have them.

Side metal pieces that cover the Viking grill burner are rusted. Do I need to replace the whole burner or just use until burner holes become clogged that then replace?

I would suggest first lifting them out, give them good brush with wirebrush, check if holes are not clogged, check for any not surface damage, they ususally rust bit over on the surface and that is all. If grill flame is working correctly, and grating have still "decent" thickness and is not falling to pieces, I would still use them normally. Rust on the grate is usually caused by not using it and exposure to rain/water, as this grating is usually rather solid, surface rust will not affect it. If you have model with stainless graing - there should be no rust on stainless...That is one of the reasons why you should not wash your grill after use! Fat from cooked food is protecting it from environment.Hope this will help your worries at bay :-) Enjoy your grill!

The flames are uneven, i have the ceramic v shaped covers fror the burners, not charcoal or rocks. the heat is all at the back, it gets very hot there and is corroding the burners and the ceramic covers.,,everything at the back burns, at the front doesnt cook.

What you have is a bad case of clogged burners. At least the ends closer to you. This will require removing & cleaning the burners and the venturi valves (part of each burner) to thoroughly clean themThis will also provide you a closeup inspection of all the burners for any accessive wear, or rust thru.Once the burners are removed, use a brass bristle brush to clean the exterior of the burners and then gently yet firmly tap them on something that want damage them, Then turn them so the open end is down and any debris will fall out. Also clean the Venturi valve on each burner. It will be on the burner tube, where it fits over the burner orifice. It will look like 2 slots (1 on each side) cut out of the burner tube. Spiders like to build nest in them. After you have completed all of that, reinstall the burners, turn the gas tank back on Very, Very Slowly and give them a test. You should see a significant difference.Hope this helps you solve the burner problem. Please let me know and Happy Grilling!!

I have a 3 burner jenn air with the ''lifetime'' brass burners. In the 3 years that I've had it I've had to **** out each little flame hole with a drill bit anually. The brass is coroding and clogging the holes. I'm somewhat disapointed with the performace of this grill. I keep it covered but the burners continue to corode and burn unevenly and not as hot as I would like. What is there to do?

Have you ever replaced the regulator, you may have a bad one.

My grill burners burn unevenly and usually too high. Adjustment?

If this is a natural gas grill, check to see if it has a regulator on the gas line. If it does not, you can install a regulator to reduce the gas flow.
