Pulse ignition wiring

I took the front panel off of the unit and the pulse ignitor has 4 wires coming out of it. 3 wires are the same and are hooked up to the 3 different ceramic sparkers( don't know the name ) and then ther's a 4th wire which is skinier and about 6-7 inches long. The question--where the heck does the 4 wire get connected to, I don't see anything that looks like it should be connected to it

None of my igniters on my 30400043 Ducane grill will light the burners. I've had a grease fire due to the burners rusting out and replaced the burners. The insulation on the wires to the igniters has burned off. Do I need to buy a whole new manifold or is there replacements for the igniters? Do the clickers go bad? I'm very disappointed. I bought this grill 3 years ago thinking it's the last I'd have to buy and here I am replacing parts 3 years later. I also don't think the infra red elements are getting hot enough. When running they can be blown out. I don't use them often and have run it for 45 min or so and got a steady flame. I'll try the rotisserie tomorrow. It'd be a shame to waste a good piece of meat. Anyone else having these problems? Got solutions?

As I tell customers, when they ask me, "How long will this grill last?" "That depends on well you take care of it with routine maintenance and cleaning."The wiring for the electronic ignition and the spark ignitors are replaceable. The ignitor button or the "clicker" as you called is replaceable. But all you may to do, is change the battery inside the igniter button. To help you further, i have included a link to the Owner's Manual for your grill. It will have an exploded view of the parts, which should help you identify them by part number and order them from Ducane, if you like.http://help.weber.com/manuals/ducane/2008%20Manuals%20pdf/20529916_030308.pdfA far as the infrared burners are concerned, they blow out easily if the wind is just blowing slightly. That's why they have a thermocouple on the burner, to turn the gas off to it, when it gets blown out. When preheating an infrared burner, the hood/lid of the grill should be closed.I hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Gets soaked after even light rain. The cart doors, which have no drain holes, but have side trays, fill with water, and the grill cart inside gets wet. The igniter on the rotisserie burner would not spark after the last rain, until the burner was manually lit with a lighter, and the electrodes dried out. Covering the grill after each use defies the purpose of having a nice looking stainless steel grill.

Grills, whether they are stainless steel or not, are not designed to keep out the weather, bird droppings, pollen, etc. Using the cover will help maintain the look and integrity of the grill, as well as the warranty. Warranties don't cover damage due to neglect. Impressing the neighbors with a nice looking stainless steel grill is one thing. Impressing them with the way if cooks is even better. Especially, if it works as it should each time.Happy Grilling!!

I have a Ducane 30400040 LP stainless grill. Purchased a conversion kit to change to natural gas from Ducane (complete valve, manifold & igniter assy. All works fine except infra red burner will not light either with electric igniter or match Should orofice be changed at inlet to infra red burner? I have check all the way from gas line to inlet orofice - no obstructions.

Http://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/gasgrillparts/helpcenter/breakdowns/ducane/ducane-30400040.html The IR Burner has it's OWN ignition system, If there is any problem, the burner will NOT ALLOW, itself to be lit. You must have a sensor that is stopping it from getting the gas? You need to check, your igniter wire and also, the safety cut out. http://www.bbqsource-forums.com/invboard/index.php?act=SF&f=28

Why my Grill does not heat up to 400 ? - Char-Broil Commercial Stainless Steel Grill

Do this..... turn on just one burner. Once the one burner is lit, turn on a second burner. If the flame in the first burner gets lower, you most likely need to replace your regulator.
