I have a Grand Turbo 5 burner grill that is supplied by natural gas. When I open any one of the 5 valves to start the grilling party that is sure to follow, I hear the familiar high-pitched tone of the gas filling the burner, I hit the ignitor and....we have ignition!! But, the burner only stays lit for approximately1-2 seconds then dies out due to no gas flow. If I immediately repeat the process......nothing. But, if I wait for about 10 minutes and try again I get the same 1-2 seconds of flame then....nothing. Party's over folks.....

Hi, things to check, the Gas Regulator, the Hose, the Fitting... any protection circuitry. This is often caused by a faulty regulator, that won't supply the Gas properly.

Propane grill wont ignite

Well, it sounds like your grill is experiencing vapor lock. Vapor lock is basically air caught in the gas line and there is a relatively easy method to fix this. I want you to try this method and tell me what you get, ok? First, open the tank's valve, then open the burner valve and light the grill. Immediately after you see a blue flame, turn off the tank's valve, count to five and then close the burner valve. Repeat this procedure three times, the problem should clear itself. If you are still experiencing problems, the regulator may be faulty and needs to be tested next, so go get a new regulator from your Lowe's and run the procedure again. If after all this, you are still experiencing the problem, let me know here. Good luck!

Two things....I changed the tanks out last night and I can't get the burners to light. Full tank of gas as I checked it. Took the burner covers off and cleaned the burner pipes itself and still nothing? Secondly, the igniter won't work and I changed the battery out. Old battery looked a little corrosive. Suggerstions?

Replace the regulator to get your burners to work you can get that at Home Depot, call Weber to get the other part, if your grill is under warranty you may get it Free!

First burner ignites quickly, second and third take up to 3 minutes IF they fire at all. burners are not clogged.

If the first burner's flame characteristic's look right, the remaining burners need to be removed and the venturi valves and burner orifices checked for obstructions and cleaned if necessary. That's generally the cause of delay ignition.Hope this helped and Happy Grilling!

Model 141.163211 Kenmore BBQ Grill. Burner tube ignites then after a few seconds flames ignite behind control panel - melted knobs. A year ago same problem. Removed all parts and cleaned, installed new requlator & hose - This fixed it. This time I removed and cleaned all parts again but did not replace requlator - No fix.

It sounds like sealant may need to be used on connections. Use appropriate one for gas fittings. Noting where the leak is occuring is important. Another possibility is the fuel is being somehow "jetted" from a hole or orifice in a burner tube to the area behind the control panel. These are hard to see what happens first when it does happen.
