Contact your gas co. to see if they have the correct pressure regulator , do not just remove the current one. you could try it to see if it solves the problem, but i would not advise it. you may be able to find the parts at a good plumbng supply house. don't forget the silicone tape!

Low Heat ? i have a brand new napoleon grills. paid a lot to get quality. I dont find it very performant. It seems there is heating problem. I read a lot about regulator reset. I tried it but im not sure of the results as the outside temp was very different yesterday (colder). One thing is sure : after 20 minutes lid close, my grills is at approx 500 NOT MORE. As soon i open the lid the temp fall down. My old broil King 159$ was topping 700 or even more in same circumstance. So what mean low heat in user manual ? Does 500 degree maximum is low heat or normal ? ?

Not sure what you're grilling, that would require 500 degrees or higher. Unless, you're really trying to char-broil and I do mean char. In any event, it may simply be the thermometer on the hood of your grill, reading incorrectly. Keep in mind, the thermometer is not reading the temp at the cooking grate surface, it's reading the air temperature when the hood is closed.I do a lot of grilling, I do grill shows for local food stores and I love to grill. But, I have learned to never rely on what the grill thermometer says. I use an oven thermometer that sits off to the side, on top of my grill grates. When I compare the temp on the grill thermometer to the oven thermometer on the cooking grates, there will be a difference of 50 degrees. Now, certainly the temp will drop some, when the hood is opened after preheating. That's normal. But the heat loss, at cooking grate level, is not more than 10 degrees, depending on the outside ambient air temperature. Of course if it's the dead of Winter, the temperature will drop significantly. In that case, grill with the hood closed 90% of the time. With all of the above said, what do the flames and flame heights look like on each burner? Do they respond as they should when you raise and lower the flames? If not, then you have a gas pressure problem. That can be resolved by turning OFF the tank valve, disconnect the hose from the tank and waiting 5 minutes. Then reconnect the hose to the tank and open the tank valve VERY, VERY, SLOWLY (slow motion, slow). Once the valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and turn it to high. Do the flames look higher than they did previously? If so, light the remaining burners following the same procedure as the first burner. Do all the flame heights look correct. If so you solved the problem of low flame height.I hope all of this has helped you troubleshoot and solve the problem, if there is one. Please let me know. Thanks and Happy Grilling!!

Turbo/regulator Good morning, The regulator on my turbo has gone bad. Ive tried to find just the "knob" but have had no luck. Also, Lowes and home Depot dont carry the right part. Ice called BBQ's galore, but they want to sell me the entire hose and connector. Any ideas on where I can get just the regulator? Thanks eric

Hi, Yes you can just buy the regulator. Try camping shops or caravan centres. There will be a choice of Butane or Propane. They are quite different connectors so will be easy to tell apart. Make sure to crimp the hose securely as "jubilee" type clamps are not advised.

I also have a Jenn Air 3 burner grill from Lowes, can't find any model or serial number stickers, I di a complete cleaning, got all the junk out of the burners, long flat pipes with side holes, and cleaned out all the holes, reassembled it and now have very low flame at high, gets lower as I turn on each burner. Did a saop test for leaks, replaced the regulator, the air screws can't be turned with our breaking off the nut heads aftyer soaking in WD0. No change...what else could be the cause?

BBQ Galore Capt'n Cook 4 burner gas grill won't get hot.

Most modern gas regulators have a safety feature to prevent gas left on. If you shut off the tank first and then turn off the burners, it will trigger and keep the gas flow at a very reduce flow to prevent you from turning on the tank again with the burners left on and not realizing it. Turn everything off and then turn on tank first, followed by the burners and this will solve most problems of a low flame or a bbq that won't get hot.

We seem to be having the same problems as some of the others. Our sons bought this grill for my husband for Father's Day. I came assembled. There is a kink in the hose (the one that has to bend to attach to the center burner. So we are unable to get any gas flow to the grill. We went up to Home Depot with the slip to see if they would give us a new hose that was not kinked. However, every single Brinkman there had a kinked hose. The problem is that the hose it too short. It needs to span too big of a distance and then when it turns the corner to attach to the main central burner, it just kinks preventing gas from getting through. We are now looking for a replacement hose assembly. If we cannot find one, we will return the grill and get a different brand. Do you have any suggestions

Home Depot will not be able to help you with this. You should contact the manufacturer, Nexgrill, directly and see if they have longer gas lines as this seems to be common on this model of grill. There may have been enough complaints that Nexgrill has new lines available. This is also fairly common among all Chinese import grills that like to cut corners on costs.

My grill does not exceed 300 degrees. The rear burner is barely lit, it sputters with a blue flame. The Front and middle burners run well, blue flame no yellow. I changed the regulator with one from home depot but the same problem exists. Does the regulator need to be sized for the grill? I did not buy a weber regulator. Also the third burner does not get any larger when you shut off the front and middle which tends to point to the valve for the third burner having a blockage. Any tips? Thanks in advance.

Bypass valve need reset. All grills made after 1996 have this valve. Close the LP tank valve Turn all burner control knobs to the OFF position Open the grill lid Turn the LP tank valve until it is completely open Wait 90 seconds Turn the front burner to the HI/Start position Press the igniter until the burner is lit. Turn remaining burners to High Close the lid. The grill should preheat to 500-550 degrees in 10-15 minutesI called Weber and a rep walk me through it.
