I have a 5007and it sounds like the regulator. I had the same problem with my old sterling. Turn off the tank.. open the valves.. close them again.. and slowly turn open the tank valve.. light one burner and give it a minute or two.. should solve the issue.. also.. I've heard that if the tank is over full it can cause issues, but I cant confirm that.

Gas grill not hot enough

Always turn your tank on first. Then the burners. Try this, turn the burners on for a minute and then off with the regulator and hose off the tank, then hook it back up and very slowly open the tank. Then fire off the burners. If this doesn't work, try replacing the hose/regulator.

I have my Weber Q grill hooked up to a large propane tank rather than the small tube type. It worked fine for a few weeks but now the grill only gets medium hot. Not hot enough to cook anything really. I went to the store and replaced the long connecting tube whcih connects to the grill and the tank. It worked once and the grill got hot but last night it only got medium hot again and I could not use it. It appears that the rear of the heating / gas coil does not have a flame. The front of the coil does. What is causing this or what do I need to replace. The grill is only one season old.

Seems as if your grill is suffering from "Clogged Burner Syndrome". But, don't despair, it's easily solved by removing and thoroughly cleaning the burners or "coil" as you called it. Also, pay particular attention to the venturi valves on the open end of the burner. Spiders like to build nests in them. The venturi valve will look like a slot on the right and left of the burner tube, where it fits over the burner orifice. It's really a good idea to perform this routine maintenance, at the start of each grilling season. When it comes to gas grills, it's like Benjamin Franklin said, "Cleanliness is next to Godliness."Hope this helped you solve the problem. Happy Grilling!!

Low flame I have a Frigidaire 4 burner LP gas grill that does not get hot past the low end of the "Grill" meter when all 4 burners are on. When all burner are turned to high you barely see any flame. When I turn on any 1 of the 4 burners you at least see a flame better than before but still not good. The unit is sealed other than looking at the burners. I have tried the following: 1 Looked for a kink in the hose 2 Check the gas tank (put a new one in also) 3 Cleaned the gas lines

It sounds as if the burners may not be properly seated on the valves. Instead of all of the gas flowing into the burners, some of the gas is escaping behind the front panel and creating a fire behind the front panel which would heat the valve shafts and melt the knob inserts. This call also be caused by partially blocked burner venturi and valve orifices.Check to make sure the end of each valve is completely inside of each burner.
