Guide :Grilling : Genesis Silver C Grill

I move mobile homes for a living. I have a weber omni hitch on my toter truck. I have replaced the switches, plugs, and wiring on the controller. The hitch goes in and out, up and down, and left and right. I have had an intermitent problem with the hitch mostly not wanting to go right. Now it is no longer intermitent and won't go right at all. The spool valves are not stuck. The pump is operating at 2600 psi. It is supposed to operate at 2500 psi. Have had the reservoir off and it is clean inside and the filter is clean also. There is a light on the magnet spool valve assembly idicating that there is power reaching each assembly of which there are three. One controls in/out, up/down, and the third left/right. The ownner of the company said we still might have a bad wire between th light and the magnet so we replaced the middle spool valve assembly which controls the right/left directions. We replaced it on the weekend so I couldn't get them on the phone for more troubleshooting ideas. There are no leaks any where so I susspect that there is a check valve that is stuck or some other problem with the cylinder that pushes it to the right. How do I check the left and right cylinders to see if there is a problem? what would I be looking for? And what needs to be done to fix any possible problems with the cylinders?

I have the charbroil 463362006 3 burner gas grill. Only 2 of the 3 valves work the left hand one leaks. This is a clamp-on valve. Where can i get a replacement with out buying the whole assembly which is pretty pricy. Can you lead me in the right direction

If it's a propane grill, you can usually order replacement parts from your local propane co. Call around and see who can help you. Charbroil has been around for many decades, so it's the easiest grill to get parts for.

Left burner on K40 PGS Won't ignite. Right burner does. Just replaced the element and same thing. Right buner ignites left will not. Is there some sort of valve that might need to replaced or is the thing broke kaput? Is 10 years old

Look underneath the grill and follow the hoses until you reach the venturi tube Try cleaning this out, it may work to clear it up.

We seem to be having the same problems as some of the others. Our sons bought this grill for my husband for Father's Day. I came assembled. There is a kink in the hose (the one that has to bend to attach to the center burner. So we are unable to get any gas flow to the grill. We went up to Home Depot with the slip to see if they would give us a new hose that was not kinked. However, every single Brinkman there had a kinked hose. The problem is that the hose it too short. It needs to span too big of a distance and then when it turns the corner to attach to the main central burner, it just kinks preventing gas from getting through. We are now looking for a replacement hose assembly. If we cannot find one, we will return the grill and get a different brand. Do you have any suggestions

Home Depot will not be able to help you with this. You should contact the manufacturer, Nexgrill, directly and see if they have longer gas lines as this seems to be common on this model of grill. There may have been enough complaints that Nexgrill has new lines available. This is also fairly common among all Chinese import grills that like to cut corners on costs.

Replacing hoses and regulator on gas grill

I work for a propane co. I get many customers that bring in their melted or leaking bbq grill hoses and regs. Bring the bad hose/reg to your local propane gas co and see if they can make a custom hose for you. You may have to buy a new regulator to use it with the new hose, but that's better than buying a new grill. Call around first and see which ones can do it. You'll eventually find someone that can fix you up.

Burner replacement I have recently replaced the original cast iron w/ ss burners. The control valve nozzle does not quite reach the venturi. This problem is exacerbated when hot, the metal expands and the nozzles pull away.

If you ermove the control panel on the fom you should be able to slide the gas manifold back a little thus putting the nozzle into the burners. The manifold has a couple of screws at the sides
