Flare behind temperature knobs on jenn-air gas grill

This seems to be a problem for most Jenn-Air users. The burners are defective, rusted or clogged and allowing the flame to "back up." You most likely have a melted electronic ignitor as well as gas valve damage. The new burners that I received this week for my model 720-0061-LP are 1/2 inch shorter than previous versions. Time will tell if this fixed the problem. I would call Nexgrill and get all new burners and inspect the gas valve area for damage. Since 2004, I am on my 5th set of burners, glad they were free since I have a lifetime warranty on my model.

I have a 2 year old Jenn Air gas grill that I purchased from Lowes (Stainless Steel, 3 burner with additional side burner/searer). Worked fine until recently. Grill will light, however all three burners are buning very very low (especially when more than one are turned on). Tried 2 brand new tanks -same problem!

If it's the same one I have, you have to cook with the gas tank draw pulled out. When it's closed the hose kinks and restricts gas flow.

Jenn Air Grill - Gas flow from one valve

I have the same problem. The middle and the right burners will work, but if I light the left side (3rd burner) all 3 go out. pressure is reduced to zero.

I am in the process of replacing my burners on a Jenn Air model #7200063LP. The burners appear to slide into the gas feed tube on the front part of the grill and attached to the back part of the grill with a cotter pin connection. The opening from front to back due not allow for the space to enter in from the top. My question is what is the proper procedure to replace the burners?

Yes, there really is enough space. Remove the cotter pin(s) and while lifting up the end of the burner farthest from you, pull the burner up and out.To replace the burners, do the above in reverse. Just be sure the burner tube slides over the burner orifice, properly.Hope this helped you change the burners and Happy Grilling!!

Kenmore LPG Grill Model 141.16313800 I last used this grill 2 weeks ago and there are no problems. Yesterday I tried to use it but I can't light the grill. So I replaced the propane tank (the old one feels like it's not empty). After trouble shooting as per manual, the grill still fails to operate. The burners are not plugged. New battery installed for the ignitor and they spark when checked. Already purged air from the gas line. When I check if there are any obstruction in the gas line, I did not smell the LPG before I reconnect it to the grill. Please help. Many thanks!

Relace your propane regulator, they do go bad form sitting around, had the same problem you have. you should be able to disconnect from the grill, turn on the regulator and smell the propane, if not it's bad.
