Low flame on 3 main burners. model GBC730W

Mike, I had this problem with my grill once or twice. Like most of us grilling men we turn the grill off at the tank trying to be safe. Sometimes, like in my case, I do not turn the nobs back to the off position. When returning to the grill the next day or week the first thing we do is turn the gas on leaving the nobs on, then lighting. Every time I do this my flame never gets full or does not reach full temp. To resolve this: turn everything off including the nobs, then turn the gas on, wait a minute or two. Turn the nobs to full and ignite. It should be at full flame then, adjust from there. I hope this is helpfull.

Low flame I have a Brinkmann gas grill. I'm not sure what model it is but I got it from Wal-mart about 3 years ago. It has a low flame. I thought it might just be low gas but I just refilled the tank and it still has the same problem. I have a decent flame if I just use the center burner but if I turn on the other burners they all have a very low flame. Any suggestions?

Solution #1 is correct. If your regulator is / was good, then you would most likely have a leak in a line or fitting - and the regulator has properly restricted or stopped gas flow as it's designed to do for obvious safety. However a very common leak is the main plastic tank coupling which renders the whole regulator and hose assembly useless. Quick fix, go to Wal-Mart and buy a $20 replacement regulator which comes pre-fitted with hoses and couplings. Get the dual or single hose depending on whether you have a side-burner or not. Voila! Your good to go a few more years.

I have a stainless steel Kenmore propane grill, model 119.16311800. It has four burners and a side burner on the left. It is two years old and has performed perfectly for two years. I am now having trouble with the flame. It will light and if I only have one burner on it will give a good flame. Lighting additional burners will reduce the flame size, when all four main burners are on they struggle to stay lit. We recently moved, and the grill was out of gas for an extended period. The problem first presented after a relative gave me a gas tank. Initial inspection showed some debris in the valve of the tank itself. I tried removing the debris from the tank with partial success. I connected it to the grill and had the same issue. Got a new tank. Fired up and cooked up some great burgers. thought I was all set until the next time when the new tank also produced the same results. I have not been able to disassemble the burners to check/clean the venturi tubes. (ever) It appears that there is a screw at the rear of the burners that will release it, but they are badly corroded and will not come out by standard means. If you could confirm this is indeed the proper way to remove the bruners I will drill them out and devise a better way to fasten them afterwards. Also, I did read here about opening the gas tank valve very slowly. I disconnected the regulator, waited a few minutes, reconnected and opened very slowly. Light the furtherst burner first and proceeded to find the problem still existed. I understand that the regulator may also be faulty. Given that there is no gauranteed life cycle for any product, can you estimate a typical life span for a regulator? How would I go about checking the regulator? I fear that when I tried to remove the gunk in that old tank some loose particals may have gotten into the regulator and damaged it. Thank you very much for any assistance you can give!

With all the you described, your best bet is to replace the grill hose/regulator assembly. It's not expensive and it's not difficult to do. You can find the hose/regulator assembly at any home center or hardware store that sells gas grills. The assembly is universal, but take your old one with you for comparison purposes. As far as replacing the burners are concerned, that's not difficult either. And you may be able to find the replacement burners at www.sureheat.com , as they made the Kenmore grills for Sears. And yes, the scenario you gave for removing the burners is correct.Hope this helped you and you will be kind enough to give my response to you, a positive rating.Happy Grilling!

My Jenn-Air grill model 720-0336 when you lite one burner it will lite but with low height in flame and as you tun on another flames go to 1/8 inch high as you turn on the last burner than go out. This just began happening I have had the grill for one year. What is going on?

It could be a couple of things. First you could be low on propane or natural gas depending on what you use. The second thing is that over time the little holes in the burners clog. You can poke them clean with a toothpick. Or if they are rusted you will need new ones which you can find from an appliance parts dealer. If they don't have your part start looking on ebay because your grill is discontinued. Jenn-Air might be able to help you find the parts if you can get in touch with a customer service rep.

I have a Uniflame gas grill, model #GBC730W. It is about 2 years old and used less than 20 times. When I light the grill, it heats up to about 150 degrees, and the flame goes out. It usually won't re-light with the striker once this happens, but I can use a long lighter and light the burners from underneath the grill. When I first noticed this, I did a thorough cleaning on it and used it once and it worked great. I tried to use the grill last night and the burners went out again...any suggestions?

If you are lighting the grill and allowing it to run in the preheat/clean setting untill it warms up then adjusting the temp/heat range to suit cooking needs. There is no automatic setting for temperature so there is no flame sensor to fail. Check that the LP gas valve on the bottle is open about 3/4 of a turn as this may cause intermittent ingition failure due to rapid cycling of the gas regulator. If this is helpful please leave feedback. Thanks, SnugglePants

Using a cadac burner with a skottel model extension 8304 , with no 24 Jet ( using a LPG 9kg gas Bottle - no Regulator ) flame is good on full ( good Blue Colour ) however on Low Flame keeps going out with a but of a thud and either burns inside the very inner burner Part or a Blue Flame comes and extingishes out of The bottom 4 Air intake Holes ......is this normal ????

My experience shows me the old steam engine problems. No gastight connections where they should be.So not the specified Kilowatts output.Think of the old fashioned flanges witht the artificial (synthetic) rubber gasket between them. And the flangebolts which held them together, all with the same torque momentum in kilopounds/meter.Check with good quality leak detection foam and/or use your imagination.Alternative: look for YouTube High Definitionvideo 'The Cadac Legend', as of August 15, 2011.Dutch: ................... Trek in BBQ.English: ................. Draught in BBQ.Talkin' about airtight/gastight connections.

I also have a Jenn Air 3 burner grill from Lowes, can't find any model or serial number stickers, I di a complete cleaning, got all the junk out of the burners, long flat pipes with side holes, and cleaned out all the holes, reassembled it and now have very low flame at high, gets lower as I turn on each burner. Did a saop test for leaks, replaced the regulator, the air screws can't be turned with our breaking off the nut heads aftyer soaking in WD0. No change...what else could be the cause?

YOU MOST LIKELY GOT SOAP AND OR WATER IN THE GAS JETS OR THE GAS PASSAGES, DO U HAVE A HEAT GUN? IF SO USE IT TO DRY EVERYTHING OUT THOUGHLY AND I BET IT STARTS WORKING, THE MODEL IS ON THE BACK OF THE UNIT OR UNDER THE COOK TOP LID.
