Ducane "take it or leave it" electric parts

I bought 4 "take it or leave it" electric grills for a part time work 3 years ago and all 4 of them are out of commission for 2.5 years now, the electrical cable that one end plugs to the electrical outlet and the other end- that has a pin and the temp. control knob- plugs to the grill's heating element had burned out on me on all 4 grills at least 1 time. Better late than never, I still need to use these particular grills if I can make them work, and now that I discover this forum "FIXYA" I would like to see if anybody can help me to find the heating elements and the power cord with its con

Charcoal in a gas grill...Wassup with that?

Well are they lava rocks or charcoal? The Master Flame series is supposed to have lava rocks. If what you see is charcoal, remove it and replace with the lava rocks. You can order the rocks from Char-Broil's website.

We definitely neglected this bbq. After last summer..leaving it with meat drippings and water which molded the entire inside of the grill as well as rusted the metal on the grate and the tray underneath it. Its also been sitting out side since then. Is there a way we can clean it at this point or should we just replace the top grate or can we do that. We're really looking forward to using it this summer and will take better care of it. Thanks

Morgan, unfortunately, it has passed the point of taking better care of it this summer. In addition to replacing the grates, you will probably have to replace the burner(s) and the venturi valve(s), as well as the tray underneath. It will cost you just as much to replace all the parts (if you can find them) , as it would be to replace the grill with something equal to the Road Trip Grill. The accessories you'll need the most are a brass grill cleaning brush and a good quality grill cover (not a $9.99 special).Sometimes, it's just not worth fixing some things.

Kitchenaid superba side by side refrigerator over temperature...

I think I may have the solution, after having suffered through the same problem for months. I have a Kenmore Elite side-by-side which is really the same as KitchenAid and Whirlpool. Having thought of complicated solutions first, I have finally gotten back to step 1, simple solution. Tape the switch on the top of the freezer compartment and see if that works for you. I believe the door while seemingly closed is not pushing the switch in far enough. If that works for you, you can probably glue something to the top of freezer door so it can push in the door switch a little better. The reason that it beeps is that the switch is not pushed in enough and the light is still on inside while the door is closed. The refrigerator then thinks the door is still open. I really hope this works for you as I can sympathize with you having listened to the beeps for months. I feel sorry for people who have changed one circuit board after another to no avail. And there are so many stupid repairmen out there offering dumb advices and perform needless repairs.

I have a ducane grill and it will not get hot. I

The most common cause of reduced flames is a pressure problem. Could be the gas regulator for the grill. When the burners are on try giving the gas regulator a tap with something hard and see if they change size. If they do then the rqulator could be sticking. And there is a very small hole on the regulator called a vent. If this hole gets plugged with dirt or grease you can get a low pressure problem. Look very carefully on the regulator housing for this small hole and verify that it is clear. Try using a small metal wire(like a tie strap for sandwich bags) to make sure it is clear. Also verify that the tank(if propane) is not overfilled. An overfilled propane tank will cause a pressure problem. You can turn the relief screw on the propane tank until no more liquid comes out to see if this fixes your problem.
