I have a coleman dual fuel 424-700G stove and a lantern that both have the same issue. I mistakenly left fuel in the tanks over a winter and neither now works. I replaced the generators on both and they still don’t work.
It feels like the pumping mechanism is not working correctly. If I try to pump the pump with my finger over the air hole it is difficult to pump and does not feel like it is building up pressure in the tank. I cannot pump up the pressure and close and turn the pump handle to seal it without letting my finger off of the air hole to let air escape. Neither unit pumps like

Coleman 424 Dual Fuel -- High, yellow flame
Are you pumping the tank up all the way? I have the same problem if I have too little pressure in the tank. The instructions say pump 35 times. Try pumping 50 or 60 times- that seems to help. Also, you can't light this one like an old 425. My old stove you could turn the gas on and then take a match neat the burner. For this stove, hold the match near the burner with the gas off and quickly turn it on. These are two things that seemed to help me with the same problem. My Coleman 2 Burner Duel Fuel Stove 424-700G will not pump up the pump seems to build up pressure! please can you tell me why!?
I have a Coleman Instastart grill that runs off the green butane canisters. After only a few uses I can't seem to get it to start. The trouble seems to be the attachment that connects the canister to the grill. The tank has fuel, but when I attach it to the connector attached to the grill and turn the burner on, nothing happens. I've tried detaching the connector and pressing the little non inside and the butane isn't coming out. The tank hisses when I unscrew it and butane comes out when I press the tank's nozzle. So somewhere between the tank and the end on the connector there's an issue. Any suggestions? Do they sell replacement connectors? Thank you!
Hi Adam. It sounds like you have a bad regulator, or (less likely) your line is clogged. You can buy a new line or regulator for this unit on the coleman site. Here is a link to the catalog- you'll need to find your exact model to find the part

Coleman 424 duel fuel stove leaking fuel at control knob. Took that whole section apart today and it seems there is some sort of dark grey hard putty like gasket material in the joint there and I guess it has failed. No idea how it is meant to be serviced. Tried tightening the nut behind the knob but this didn't fix it. Any ideas?
A complete new valve assembly isn't very expensive and you can often get one on eBay with a new generator included. It's not worth servicing the old valve given the safety implications of leaking fuel. Read More At : 2 Burner Dual Fuel 424-700G Grill...
