The new style OPD valves have a small brass ring located in the female fitting on the LP tank. Over time this ring can work loose and then it does not allow the male fitting to fully depress the OPD valve thus reducing your gas flow Using a small flat bladed screw driver tighten the small brass ring This should solve your problemIF not you might want to remove the cap (white) on your regulator and try slowly adjusting the regulator, make small adjustments and try the BBQ My Weber if I set the front and back burners to MED I get right at 350 degrees in 60 degree outdoor temps. Adjusting the regulator will take some time to get it right but If it is not your tank it is most likely your regulator out of adjustment

I have a Weber Q Grill. I haven't used it for a year. I have a new LP tank. I hooked it up and an insufficient amount of gas gets to the jets (holes) in the grill loop. Sometimes it flickers when trying to light it with match but goes out. Suspect a valve is frozen. No smell of gas no matter what setting

U are right the valve is the problem, the newer BBQ's use a new design safety gas valve, sometimes you can ge them working again by bleeding off the tank, they are not that expensive to replace, Walmart has them. try bleeding some gas off 1st.

Weber Q 200 goes out after lighting

Using a larger size bottle w/converter hose?  If so, its probably a regulator issue.  I have had same problem for over three years.  If you don't open the gas very slowly it trips a safety which lowers the pressure to nada.  He'll need to shut it down and reconnect following the instructions available on the Weber website.  Mine still only resets 50 percent of my attempts.  Great grill when it works, but what a pain.

I have a weber genesis silver. It was working fine, the next time I went to use it, the flame only goes to a medium level. Hi and medium are the same but it does reduce to low. Its the same with the extra burner. I tried cleaning the grill out (pan, and also the 3 gas lines), using different tanks of gas, and even trying to set the knobs a bit closer to the off position. Still the same. Very little orange flame. The middle gas bar also lights very slowly.

Hi,You problem could be or probably is with the regulator...not enough gas pressure...Propane, LP, or Natural Gas Regulator Problems heatman101

I have a brand new Weber 670S and put it together....the ignition will fire and I get a 6 inch flame, but the burners don't light....and the flame goes out when I release the knob...

Since the main burners and the rear infrared burner (if so equipped) comes already installed, I don't think your assembling it is the problem. It's probably the grill's gas regulator that is giving you the problem. That's assuming you are following the manual's instructions on how to light the burners, the first time. For now, Ill assume you did. If you open the gas tank valve to fast, it shoots high pressure to the regulator & locks it up.So, to solve the problem, follow the directions below:1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank. 2. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank. 3. Open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow). 4. Once the tank valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and set the burner control knob on HIGH. Does the flame height look correct for being set on HIGH? If so, light the remaining burners the same way. Do all the burner flames look correct? If so, you solved the problem. Remember, to always open the tank valve Very, Very Slowly. If that didn't solve the problem, you will need to replace the grill's Hose/Regulator Assembly (It's 's not under warranty). It runs about $30.00 at any home center or hardware store that sells grills & accessories. If you replace it, turn the tank valve ON Very, Very Slowly. Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Happy Grilling!! And thanks for choosing FixYa.
