Converting weber natural gas grill to LP Gas

Hello,You will need to replace the orifices and install a propane regulator and hose. Plus, of course, you'll need to buy a 20# cylinder. I looked up your grill serial # and found a parts explosion for your grill. Here is the link: http://www.weber.com/PublicSchematic/view.aspx?model=6821001If you click on the "additional parts" link, they have the conversion kits listed, but none of them are available anymore. As a propane guy, your best bet is to take it to a local propane co and have them convert it to propane for you. They will drill out your existing orifices and install spuds, and then re-drill smaller holes for the appropriate BTU rating for each burner. Then they can install the regulator and hose and even sell you a new and full 20# cylinder. Call around first and see which one can help you, as not all have serviceman that can do this particular job. Hope this helps. Douglas

I am renting a condo with an old Weber Grill - 2 burner / LP (I think it is a Genesis Silver A ('00-01) model . I have very little gas pressure at the burner tubes. - Front tube flickers on/off with the front control turned on full; and - When the back tube is turned on there is not enough gas pressure in the manifold to keep the front tube burning. I have: 1) a full tank; 2) a working regulator; 3) cleaned out some sort of insect nest (spiders?) in the metal inlet tube between the regulator hose and the manifold. But still I have not improved the gas pressure at the tubes. I assume that: 1. There are nests in the manifold; and / or 2. Nest in front of the venturi nozzles in the burner tubes. Are these assumptions correct; and are the parts cleanable (they look reasonable rusted after 10 years); or should I just buy new burner tube kit and a new manifold kit?

Yes the best option for just for you is to buy a new burner, tube kit and a new manifold kit because all the things that you said you removed from the burner must have caused alot of rust on the burner and if you keep welding the burner there will still be linkage after awhile so the best thing is just for u replace the burner.

Weber Silver Genesis C regulator purging gas after reset process

This could be caused by a couple of problems. First the regulator could be bad, or the tank is getting to hot. Which causes the relief valve to open and release pressure. This will happen when weather outside is hot.

Burner issues The following was a message that I received today from our property management maint. dept. regarding our Weber Silver B grill. The grill is used at our 2nd home which we rent out through the summer. The guests staying at your property called to report that they needed gas for the grill. Upon arrival, our maintenance person delivering a new gas bottle but found that the grill actually needed to be replaced. Two of the three burners on the grill were seized up and he was unable to get them going. I have gone ahead and given permission to purchase a similar grill from Wal-mart. This grill is only 1-yr old and we just used it ourselves (approx. 4wks ago) with no problems at all. What does this sound like to you and what new parts would you suggest we replace? How long would it take to replace parts? Sorry I don't have any other info to give you. Thank you, Mark

Home Depot sells replacement parts for the grills take the burners with you and you shouldn't have any problems

Gas is not moving from tank to Weber silver grill

you need to shut off all the valves and disconnect the tank. slowly open the tank valve and listen for gas escaping. (DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SMELL FOR THE GAS, THIS COULD PROVE HARMFUL TO YOUR HEALTH) you are looking for a valve or connection that is clogged. if gas escapes from the tank the reconnect the tank and check at each connection. if all connections are complete and functional, your problem may be at the burner itself. Using a push pin, **** the holes in the burner, paying attention to the amount of greasy build up. If the level of build up is severe, remove the burners completely and soak them in a tub of concentrated dish soap and warm water. DO not use hot or cold water. remember to shut the tank valve off in between each test cycle. a clean grill is the key to keeping it functioning properly, if you are having trouble getting the burners out, spray lighter fluid on the burners holes and light with a fireplace match, or rolled piece of paper. GOOD LUCK AND PLS RATE THIS POST!!!!!!
