Cannot adjust flame

We just bought our son, the uniflame 46,000 BTU 4-burner gas grill, and the first time he tried to use it tonight, he cannot adjust the flame. He has checked all of the connections, and assures us they are all ok. Any other suggestions? Thanks

Cannot adjust flame

This could be a regulator or manifold issue. If the unit has a side burner check to see if it is burning at a correct flame height. If it is then the regulator is not the problem there is an issue with the manifold. Cannot get good flame on the burner of my baby weber grill. I've tried cleaning it checked hose, tank, regulator, seems to have good flow, but low flame only, even when set in high????????

I had this problem with a brand new grill so it wasn't grease in the hose. Due to the new propane regulators you have to turn the propane tank on for at least a minute before turning the grill to light. Let the tank sit in the light position for five seconds and then you light the grill. This will keep air from getting into the intake hose and will keep your gas flame roaring high. I was only able to get the grill up to 250 degrees before I found this fix posted on the Weber site. It is listed as the number one solution in the FAQ section.

Adjust blue flame

Should be a band you can turn where the tubes connect to the back of the knobs...if not, check for spiderwebs or gunk in the tubes themselves. There's not enough oxygen in the mix.

Burner Adjustment. I just replaced a gas manifold and the grill seems to work o.k.; however, there are some yellow flames (rather than blue) flaming up on some of the burners. There is an adjustable "air gap" where the gas valve enters the burner tube. What is the appropriate "gap" setting for this part ? or is this not causing the problem ? Any help will be appreciated !

You may be running lean. Add air until you have as much blue flame as you can get. Often, however, this is impossible on worn burners.

Propane gas flame is not hot. Do I adjust the air

Here is something to try if it is LP Gas:Here is a Tip to fix a grill that not getting hot:1. Turn the gas valve knob off. then close LP tank valve knob.2. Unscrew the plastic hose coupling knob from the LP tank. You may hear a slight "hissing" sound as pressure is released this is normal.3.Wait a minute then screw the coupling knob back on to LP Tank.4.With lid open.slowly open LP tank valve.5.Relight the grill the proper way by turning gas valve knob to ON position while turning the igniter knob at the same time.6.After you are sure the grill is lit preheat the grill for 30 minutes. This was called purging the line or releasing the air out of the line.Another thing your orifice could be clogged with spiders or dirt. If it is LP gas check to make sure your hose is not kinked.

Can not adjust flame.

It sounds like the grill just needs a good cleaning, plus when you do clean it check that the burner tubes and orfaces are free of any debris. The orface is a tiny hole inside a small brass threaded insert where the gas blows through into the burner tubes, it is very critical that this is clear as well as the burner tubes.
