We had a similar problem. It turns out that there is some sort of fuel distribution rod that fits into the gas jets in the front of the grill (remove the drip pan). It appears that the gaskets between the gas jets and the rod have burned/disintegrated. We ordered a new rod from Nextgrill but it came w/o gaskets. So now we're having to call again to see if the gaskets are a separate item or if (for some reason) they are part of the jets?? Anyway, good luck.

I have a brand new 'built-in' Napoleon gas grill. I can see the pilot light come on and the burner will light briefly and but won't stay lit. I adjusted the shutter valves and had to close them all the way before 1 burner would stay lit. However, the flame was weak and it too eventually went out. Could it be that too much air is involved? I had a contractor build a BBQ island and drop in the grill. He left a gap underneath so I'm wondering if too much air underneath the grill is causing a problem.

Lack of air maybe / Check the reg is giving the right pressure .

I have a jenn air 3 burner grill purchased 4 years ago new (from either lowes or home depot). I use propane tank for fuel (which is 1/2 to 3/4 full at the moment). The issue I am having, is when I turn on any two of my burners and go to light the third; both of the previously lit burners flame way down (burners are still on high!!) and sometimes one will flame out, or they both flame way down and the third burner will not light. When the third burner is turned off, the other two do not come back onto high, they stay at a very low flame. HELP!!!

It sounds like it is a natural gas grill instead of propane change out your orifices

Jenn-Air grill half burner issue

Re: only one side lighting, it is a problem with the cross over **** that carries the flame from one side of the burner to the other. It is located at the rear bottom of the burner and is probably clogged. Wire brush them to clean; failing that, replace with new ones and keep the new ones cleaned with a wire brush regularly.

Flare behind temperature knobs on jenn-air gas grill

This seems to be a problem for most Jenn-Air users. The burners are defective, rusted or clogged and allowing the flame to "back up." You most likely have a melted electronic ignitor as well as gas valve damage. The new burners that I received this week for my model 720-0061-LP are 1/2 inch shorter than previous versions. Time will tell if this fixed the problem. I would call Nexgrill and get all new burners and inspect the gas valve area for damage. Since 2004, I am on my 5th set of burners, glad they were free since I have a lifetime warranty on my model.

Grill wont stay lit

These new tanks have a safety device installed in them . If you open the valve quickly or tip the jug the damn thang won't work. Take the tank loose, open all the grill valves and close all valves. Reconnect the tank and SLOWLY open the valve a hair. Light the burners. No need to open the valve all the way. if you do the dumb safety will plug the jug.

The smoker burner wont stay lit on my grill. I can get it lit but it wont stay on

I had the same problem and I found that if I tightened the thermocouple line on the back of the smoker control knob it would work properly. You can see the thermocouple line brass nut thru the slotted opening just above the double doors and below the control knobs. Mine was only finger tight and as soon as I tightened the thermocouple line nut, everything worked normal. Good Luck

My weber genesis wont stay lit. i can light the

The new style OPD valves have a small brass ring located in the female fitting on the LP tank. Over time this ring can work loose and then it does not allow the male fitting to fully depress the OPD valve thus reducing your gas flow Using a small flat bladed screw driver tighten the small brass ring This should solve your problemIF not you might want to remove the cap (white) on your regulator and try slowly adjusting the regulator, make small adjustments and try the BBQ My Weber if I set the front and back burners to MED I get right at 350 degrees in 60 degree outdoor temps. Adjusting the regulator will take some time to get it right but If it is not your tank it is most likely your regulator out of adjustment
