Gas cooker on boat

Generally, black soot stains mean the gas/air mix has too little air. If you have an adjustment for the air mix, open it up a bit. Also (don't laugh)- small spiders love to build cocoons inside these gas/air tubes. That really messes up your flame!

It won't put out enough gas to cook. Can only use one burner at a time because it will not put out enough gas volume or pressure to burn more than one. And that one has to be on high in order to get enough flame to cook as if it were on low. I've changed the regulator, the gas bottle( several times) and blew air through the lines to be sure the lines and the burners were not obstructed. What would be your next suggestion. Because for what I paid for this unit and the very few times I have been able to use it without cussing and trying to figure out why it can't do something as simple as blow gas through a line, I think someone should be replacing it with something else comparable. That would my suggestion. Because I love to grill out and feel sick everytime I look at $700.00 worth of new junk sitting there unusable.

Many newer grills have a safety feature built in where the valve will not allow gas to flow if the burner valve is in ON position when the valve on the tank is opened. Try this - Shut of all valves, disconnect and then re-connect hose to tank, turn on valve above LP tank, THEN turn on burner valve, light w/ spark or match... This feature can be really frustrating if you don't know it is in operation...

I have a Kenmore 6 Burner Stainless Steel grill with a smoker, but the gas isn't getting to the smoker. It works fine on the burners and side burner, but won't get to the smoker. The tubes are installed correctly since it used to work. It just stopped working after 2 months of use for no reason. Any help or explanation?? Thanks

Take the burners out and check the Orvis that's where the gas comes out you could take a paper clip in pocket to see if there's something blocking it

This may simply be a matter of having turned the gas tank on too fast. The hose/regulator that connects to the tank has an excess flow valve built into it. Close the tank valve and disconnect the hose/regulator from the tank, then reconnect it. Now slowly turn the handle on the LP tank. See if that solves your problem.
