Hi, I have just bought a Weber 100 BBQ. I have a

You have a couple of questions. In order: 1. Flame may not be visible because it burns very clean. 2. When they say 'turn gas off', they actually mean 'turn gas tank off'. 3. It's not necessary to remove the tank after every use. Just make sure the gas valve is off and the entire grill and tank are covered. I do remove the tank, and store it in an outdoor shed during the winter.

Propane grill wont ignite

Well, it sounds like your grill is experiencing vapor lock. Vapor lock is basically air caught in the gas line and there is a relatively easy method to fix this. I want you to try this method and tell me what you get, ok? First, open the tank's valve, then open the burner valve and light the grill. Immediately after you see a blue flame, turn off the tank's valve, count to five and then close the burner valve. Repeat this procedure three times, the problem should clear itself. If you are still experiencing problems, the regulator may be faulty and needs to be tested next, so go get a new regulator from your Lowe's and run the procedure again. If after all this, you are still experiencing the problem, let me know here. Good luck!

When I try to light my brand new Q300, it won't ignite. I can hear that the tank is on and gas is being sent to the grill. However, it doesn't light. When I shut the grill off and the gas tank off and then push the ignite button, the grill explodes in a big flame. Any ideas what is wrong?

What you have is delayed ignition. It's being caused by the gas regulator. It is solvable, though.Turn the gas tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank.Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank.Open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow).Once the valve is fully open, light 1 burner and turn it to HIGH. Did the burner light and does th eflame height look correct? If so, light the remaining burner the identical same way. Now, to both flame heights look correct? If so, you solved the problem. Remember to always open the tank valve Very, Very Slowly. And always light the burners with the Lid/Hood Open.If the above did not solve the problem, you will need to replace the Hose/Regulator Assembly. Since your grill is brand new, the Hose/Regulator Assembly will be covered under Warranty. Have your Proof of Purchase handy and call Weber 1-800-446-1071. Also, if you haven't done so already, register your grill before calling even if you don't need a new Hose/Regulator Assembly.Hope this helped you troubleshoot & solve the problem.

We have a brand new George Forman Grill2Go propane grill for outdoor use. We followed the directions for assemblying the regulator to the propane bottle, did the test for leaks, etc, But when we turned on the gas, used the igniter, nothing ignited. We turned it off for 5 min.& tried again...nothing. First time for portable gas grill use, but this shouldn't be hard. Any suggestions?

You got part of the solution correct. The 5 minute part, but you skipped a couple of steps.Turn the gas tank valve OFF. Disconnect the hose from the tank. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank. Open the tank valve VERY, VERY, Slowly (Slow motion, slow). Once the valve is fully open, turn the burner ON and push the ignitor button. When the burner lights, turn it to it's highest setting. If you have 2-burners, light the second the same way you did the first one. Do all the flame heights look correct? If so, you solved the problem. If the above didn't solve the problem. you will need to replace the grill's hose/regulator assembly. As the OPD Valve in the gas tank, permanently locked up the regulator. Since your is a brand new grill with warranty that's enforce, contact the manufacturer for a replacement. Have you proof of Purchase handy, when you call them.Hope this helped you solve the problem. Happy Grilling!!
